Welcome to St. John! We are glad to have you with us. Each Sunday morning, from 9:45-10:45 AM, we have an Education Hour with a variety of Bible study opportunities for all ages. We invite you to join us as we dive into the Scriptures regardless of where you find yourself in your journey of faith.

Children Preschool - 5th Grade

If you have a child in preschool through 5th grade, we invite you to join us for music, Bible Study, and games in the Lower Level East classroom. Parents are always welcome to join as well. We are finishing up an Old Testament overview of the history of God's people and transitioning into an exploration of Jesus' ministry in the New Testament. Each week we discover how God’s plan for salvation through Jesus can be found on every page of Scripture. You can access the Lower Level by descending the ramp at the end of the main hallway. The East classroom is located at the end of the Lower Level Hallway.

Jr & Sr High & Parents

If you have a student in grades 6-12, we invite you and your youth to join us in the Lower Level west. We begin the education hour with a large group introduction before breaking out into the following small groups: Jr. High, Sr. High & Parents of Jr/Sr High students. We are using the book Flash Theology as the guide for our Bible study this year, which presents foundational Biblical truth in a meaningful and understandable way. You can access the Lower-Level by descending the ramp at the end of the main hallway. The West classroom is located at the front of the Lower-Level Hallway. Copies of Flash Theology are available for free in the Main Hallway/Narthex.

“Reclaiming the Nations”

Pastor Brian’s Sunday morning Bible study will begin a new topic after Easter. From April 7 – May 19, we will study Scripture that shows Jesus’ resurrection as the pivotal point when He reclaims authority over the nations from spiritual powers who abused of authority and led the nations astray. We will study the “Table of Nations” from the account of the Tower of Babel when God confused humanity’s languages (Genesis 11) and the book of Acts when those nations and tongues received the Good News of Jesus. From the miracles of Pentecost to the travels of the apostles (and even our mission today), the whole world is receiving the freedom won by Jesus’ resurrection.

We meet 9:45-10:45 a.m. each Sunday morning in the Kairos classroom, adjacent to the wall of window in the church sanctuary. This study is taught in a way that seasoned Bible students and those brand new to exploring the Bible can learn together.

Adult class - emmaus room

Deaconess Beverly Hohman leads a class in the Emmaus classroom, located in the office wing of the church building (to the south of the sanctuary).

“Listening to Jesus”

Each gospel writer had a different point of view and a different audience, but the words of Jesus were always words of life.  We will go through the gospels, listening to Jesus, and going deeper into what He said and the glorious meaning for all who believe.
