Classic Worship
A traditional Lutheran service featuring pipe organ, hymns, and the historic Divine Service liturgy.
Visiting a church for the first time can feel uncertain. We want to make it simple. Come as you are, bring your questions, and experience a community centered on Jesus, Scripture, grace, and life together.
Our two Sunday services have different musical expressions, but both are rooted in the historic Christian liturgy. At either service, you can expect an abundance of Scripture, celebration of the Holy Sacraments, Christ-centered preaching, theologically rich music, prayer, and a friendly community.
Between services, you’re invited to enjoy coffee and refreshments before our education hour, with Bible-learning opportunities for children, youth, and adults.
Both services proclaim the same Gospel, celebrate the same Sacraments, and gather around the same Jesus.

A worship-team-led service with contemporary songs and creative, faithful expressions of confession, prayer, and liturgy.
We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday as a central part of our worship and life together. We believe Communion is not merely symbolic, but a Means of Grace through which Jesus gives forgiveness and grace. We confess the real presence of Christ: that His body and blood are truly and miraculously present with the bread and wine.
Here are answers to some of the most common questions people have before their first visit.
Whatever feels comfortable. You’ll see everything from suits and button-down shirts to T-shirts, flannel, and jeans. There is no dress code and no need to look a certain way before you arrive.
Park in the front lot beside Highway 99 and enter through the main entrance, or use the rear parking lot and enter through the gym entrance. Both will lead you into the church.
Absolutely. Children and little ones are welcome to remain with their families throughout worship—even when they wiggle or make some noise. Activity bags are available near the center sanctuary entrance.
Stop at the Connections Center or speak with an usher or staff member. We’re glad to answer questions, help you find a room, or simply make your first visit easier.
We want families to experience worship together. Children are not an interruption—they are part of the church. You are welcome to keep your children with you throughout the service.
You do not need to have everything figured out before walking through the doors. Come worship Jesus, meet some people, and discover what life together at St. John is like.
